The government body has chosen Eximia to digitize asset management.
The MIT is a crucial organization for the development of the country system. It is headquartered in Rome and is responsible for all infrastructure and public works of national competence. Asset management is a strategic activity for the organization, but it was becoming increasingly complex and required simplification.
Customer needs
- Survey company assets, monitor their movement, location, status and perform periodic inventories
- To know the exact and real position of a specific piece of furniture, computer instrument or other movable assets located on different floors and areas of the building
- Quickly locate assets when needed
The Approach
Our experts first analyzed the environments, types and categories of assets present within the building. They then developed an RFID project that included the installation of the eRAM platform for asset management and an inventory service with the application of two types of tags, for metal and non-metal objects. The RFID hardware infrastructure is composed of a printer for the labels to be applied to non-metallic objects, portable readers to verify and track the movements, make surveys and inventories.
While for the printing of labels intended for metal assets, Eximia offered a service in outsourcing and on demand based on customer needs.
